Version 1.0.4 has been released! It is not a major release as some may have hoped, but I have had limited time to work on it in recent months – I apologize.
This version fixes some minor but annoying bugs, one of which that was introduced in the recent WordPress 3.1 release (which caused the plugin to display a background image on the admin login page).
Another minor fix solves some problems where “rogue” WordPress plugins would output data when they were not supposed to, interfering with WP Flickr Background’s scripts/stylesheets.
A major bug fix is related to PHP and certain object caches (such as APC or X-Cache), which was causing some unexpected problems after prolonged use of the server, that could crash the entire WordPress site (the notorious “white screen”).
Finally, some change frequency for the background have been added, namely 5 minutes and “on every page (re)load”.
There are plenty of other ideas and suggestions awaiting to be implemented, and I shall duly work on them as time permits!
